THREE PLATE SWAG FRIEZE

A formal rectangular design with divided plates- originally devised, not for artistic effect but because large plates of glass could not be made. The frieze has 3 floral festoons or swags under a cyma cornice. At each side is a centred decorated column the corbels above are enriched with flowerhead paterae.
